KOMBI TOUR
Easterfest’s official Kombi mascot will soon be on the road again visiting high schools and youth groups right across Queensland. More Kombi Tour info will be posted here soon, but in the meantime keep reading a little of the Easterfest Kombi’s history…
In late 2007 Easterfest acquired a 1964 split screen Kombi. It wasn’t pretty and it blew lots of smoke, but we saw some potential in the ‘old girl’.

Then over Christmas we cut out lots of rust, inserted a few new panels, fixed the engine, replaced the suspension and gave the Kombi a nice new coat of paint…

Next came some bright orange stickers and a ridiculous looking speaker system on the roof.

And now (drum role please) the Easterfest Kombi is getting another make over. Will it still be blue and white? Will it have a more reliable engine? Will the roof-top speaker still work? Will it really have a set of wings - and if it does how on earth will it get a roadworthy?
All this and more will be revealed soon.

I wish the Kombi would join up with the 96five Street Machine in Brisbane this year.
